====== Time Calender ======

Our universe has a similar Calender to the real world. There are 12 months with around 30 days each. Each month is named after one of the twelve deities. The year ends with the 5 nameless days, a cursed time. The new year begins at summer solstice (july). But despite the new year being at the start of july, we still name the date as 1.7.XX (DD/MM/Y) as in real life. A major event in the near past changed the face of the area the play is set in. The calendar started anew and the crisis marks year zero. The year after the crisis (AC). What happened before?

-1 AC A war broke out near the end of the year. The Royal Kingdom being the aggressor.

0 AC The Empire of the Great has driven back the forces of the Royal Kingdom. The Crisis occured and the entire coastal region was affected. Terrible storms appeared out of nowhere and never stopped. Ships and harbor cities were attacked by dangerous sea monsters, no one has ever seen before. Giant waves and earthquakes destroyed islands and villages. The face of this area has changed forever and shaped the people even today. After two months and the destruction of almost all major cities in the area, a divine miracle happened. All of a sudden the storms and the creatures vanished. A giant monster was banished by the gods themselves, the clerics say. The people in their misery believed them. The rebuilding begun. During the crisis the Emperor fell after a reign of 10.000 years. The Empire was left shattered and the Royal Kingdom was dealing with inner conflicts. The neutral factions could grow very well, not being a target of any conflicts.

1 AC Most realms in the former Empire have clear borders now. The Royal Kingdom has a new ruler. Most people in this realm have found their usual way of life and started means to adapt to their new situations.

7 AC. Six years passed since the crisis and the world is still dealing with the aftermath.

Now is 8 AC. The Republic began to bomb islands where pirates lived on to get ride of them. Slufuras economy is only build on the will from Domino. Nearly all shops, restaurants and similiar things got closed to make room for factories to support the massive production of weapons. This leads to a massive poverty and many goblins and other inhabitans left Slufura to be in the Republic. On Ebor roams a deadly plague whiich turns everything and everyone to undead to follow the undead dragons. The Fire Swarm fights against it but slowly losing this war. On Nipone roams the Doombringer clan to forces all orc clans under one banner. The motive not clear for the most yet.


=== The Republic of Taegoria ===

Dominating Race: Humans
View on Magic: Humans mostly fear magic through they don't understand it. Only one organisation is allowed to learn magic. These are the White Mage Guild. Young children getting brought to the monastary to learn to use magic in the right term and in the favour of the twelve.
View on Technology: Humans are sceptical towards unusally technology like the goblins build.

* General information & Politics

The Republic of Taergoria was founded 4 years ago on top of the former Royal Kingdom. It is located at the west coast of the eastern continent Agoris. The name of the state comes from the city of Taergoria, where the former Royal Army had their headquarters. The Republic consists almost entirely out of humans. They are the dominant race and form the nobility, citizens, peasants, soldiers and almost all classes. Other races than humans are discriminated here and sometimes illegally used as slaves. Magic is not very popular and rare here. Technology is regarded with caution. No longer lead by nobility the Republic has no King anymore. It is lead by a head of state and a group of ministers. The absolutistic head of state, Isaac Stodeley, is a former civilist, who served in the army for 2 wars. The Senate of the Kingdom was inherited and is still very conservative. The people praise their leader as he has rebuild the nation after the crisis and the last war. The Senate has almost no power anymore.
The military, officially called 'Homeland Forces' is directly lead by the head of state. It is divided in different sections: The 'Ground Force' is nearly identical to the former Royal Army. Their headquarters is in the Capital City of Taergoria, where also all higher political institutions reside. The 'Maritime Force' is nearly identical to the former Royal Navy. Their headquarters is in the military harbour of Barnacle Bay Piers. The 'Air Force' is a new section and trains soldiers that use airships. Their headquarters is in the outskirts of Naporia, the Merchant City. The 'Homeland Police' is the military police, that replaces the Royal Guardsmen. The 'Homeland Militia' are auxiliary troops, trained to defend themselves and their homes during a crisis, but stay inactive most of the time.
The most notable point: The Republic is a nation of law. It is properly enforced. People have rights and are often treated fair by authorities. The citizens enjoy the order in their lands. In many other places, people get robbed at gunpoint, no one would care, even when official guards are nearby.

* Culture

The culture and lifestyle were dictated by the nobility for a long time and many aspects of it are still important today. The life of the high classes consisted of balls, the theatre, classical music, grand festivals and feasts. One might say highly civilised, but stiff. The lower classes could only dream of such a life. Their day was filled with work. Endless work to survive. A few rich individuals worked themselves upwards and ended up as powerful as the lower nobility. They were able to attend to the events of the higher classes. The military life is important for all classes. The nobility was often put in leading positions while the lower classes, as long as they do have a citizenship and are human, were put into the common infantry or similar low ranked troops. Being in the military was honorable for everyone. By now the military has an even greater impact on the everyday life in the Republic, since it is lead my military officials. The government hands out many awards and grants for people who join the Homeland Forces. Even joining the Militia is respectable. The people learn from early on through big parades and stories of war heroes how great the military is and how evil the enemy is. On top of it soldiers often benefit not only socially but also economically. They almost never question authority and think they are doing great things, until they have seen the frontlines...

* Past Events

Years before -600 AC: The Royal Kingdom was founded. A noble King united the lands under his crown. His power and territory grew and were left untouched by the neighboring Empire. -12 AC: The Royal Kingdom and the Empire of the Great ended their war with a non-aggression treaty, signed by both sides. The treaty should ensure peace between the nations for at least 20 years. -10 AC: Slavery got officially forbidden by the Senate. The law got much support from King Edward. The nobility disagreed. -5 AC: Minor military riots break out after a famine. The people are displeased with King Edwards reign and see is politic of peace and racial equality as betrayal to their own nation. The riots eventually stopped as the people behind it were way too less. The people being responsible were pardoned as there were no casaulties. -1 AC: The Empire crossed a line and violated the non-aggression pact. They have sent one of their vessels into Royal territory. The vessel was destroyed, the Senate and the people upset. King Edward called for peace. The people and large parts of the Military had enough of getting pushed around once more. A violent Revolution broke out. King Edward got overthrown and replaced by King Clayton. The people and the Senate support the new King. King Clayton declared war on the Empire of the Great and mobilised his troops. The offensive was successfull and soon the Imperial provinces of Horgsholt and Pawon Gardens, west of the iceberg alley on Nipone, fell into Royal hands. The Royal Kingdom also advanced into neutral territory to fortify their position. Port Navi was one of those places.

0 AC: The tables have turned. The Royal Army was able to advance far into Imperial lands, but their supply of resources got weaker and weaker. The provinces ended up as almost invincible and the soldiers were just easy prey for most. It was almost as if, despite the past success, the Empire was not taking that war seriously. Hunting Royal Soldiers was treated like a sport among Imperials. The soldiers ended up as common highwaymen or just fodder. All of a sudden, the Empire launched a counter offensive. The Royal Navy was destroyed in days. The two provinces were freed again. Before the Imperial Armada could launch a massive attack at Crowns Bay, it was suddenly called back. The Crisis occured. Naporia was first to fall to a giant wave, which destroyed the city and many of those who have lived inside. Shortly after Crowns Bay the Capital fell. An invasion of seamonsters wreaked havoc. King Clayton fell that day. All other coastal areas were affected as well, but these two suffered the most. After the Crisis the Kingdom was left without a leader. The remaining military started to rebuild the Kingdom.

1 AC: The military lead by the Royal Army Headquarters in Taergoria were in charge of the Royal Kingdom. The nobility was searching for a heir. The people however kept supporting the military. A committee of the Senate and military officials set up a constitution and arranged an election. Isaac Stodeley became the head of state and the Republic of Taergoria arose from the ashes of the former Kingdom. The Free Merchant Union had always much influence in Naporia and supplied the Royal Kingdom with exotic wares. But after Naporia was rebuilt, they started building their own city, Bolford, near Naporia. A city of their Union on the land of the newly founded Republic. The people of Naporia did not care too much. For the rest of the Republic this act was outrageous. Officials tried to negotiate. But since the Union lacks a representant for their town and nation it was pointless. The hate of the Republic, except of Naporia, towards the Union grew. But the people tried to keep it for themselves. The Union remained the most important trading partner after all.

3 AC: The humans of the former Royal Kingdom have started to build airships of their own, having access to the technology through their close contact with the Free Merchant Union.

4 AC: The 'Air Force' was founded. Their headquarters being in an airfield near Naporia.

6 AC: Tension arose in Naporia as the Free Merchant Union offered to buy the whole city from the young Republic.

8 AC: The Republic began their war against pirates. With their Air Force did they attacked Portuga and left no one alive.


=== Empire of the Great ===

Dominating Race: Elf, Orcs
View on Magic: The inhabitants of the fallen Empire see magic different. Magically gifted people see magic as a great tool and powerfull weapon to be mighty. People who aren't gifted see it as something unneeded. But overall is the view on magic mostly positive.
View on Technology: The Empire used, before the fall, technology itself to maintain the power. Using magical gifted human slave to enchant magical tools was nothing strange in the Empire, yet not all races know this fact. Not everyone is far advanced as the inhabitants of the former capital, Nalkommur. Orks using the skin from their fallen enemies to make drums out of them.

* General information & Politics

The Empire of the Great was founded over 10,000 years ago by the undying God Emperor Dhogrundris. The Capital City was Nalkommur. The Empire ranged almost along the entire east coast of Nipone and far into the inland. Other factions did not even came close to the enormous lands the Emperor ruled. The Emperor was literally undying and sat on top of his Empire the entire time. His Empire was seperated into provinces and each province was lead by one or more Consuls. Nalkommur itself consisted out of a multitude of provinces. A Consul was responsible for everything that happened in their province. As long as they did not revolt and kept supporting the Emperor, they were allowed to rule however they want to. If suspicion has grown, an inspector is send to evaluate and eventually eliminate a Consul gone rogue. Most Consul often pursued their own interests, while bootlicking any inspector that comes by. There was no common law in the Empire and no law enforcement. Every Consul did this in their own way. As long as people obeyed to the Consul and kept working, no one cared about the rest. Most places were effectively anarchic. When the people were rioting or similar, it was beaten down with violence. No one revolted against the almighty Emperor. Usually each province has an own dominant race and culture. But overall and especially in Nalkommur, those gifted with strong magic, had the most power and marked the top of society. Lower races, especially humans, were nothing more but slaves or even cattle. Technology is unpopular here. Progress is seen and achieved through the power of magic.
Now since the Emperor has fallen, the Empire collapsed. The Consuls are still ruling their realm, but they refuse to work together. Each one tries to gain power and conflicts arose. The entire infrastructure collapsed. The Consuls keeep sitting on top of resources to starve others out. Each region is hostile towards their neighbours with only a few exceptions. The former Imperial troops are scattered now and mostly destroyed. There is no lead and only few remain. Most soldiers gathered under their local Consul or fought for independence to rule their own province.

* Culture

There was no common culture. The culture of the people where highly dependent on their according province. While in Nalkommur the high society lived a life with an abundance of food and resources, the people in the outskirts lived in poor conditions, overlooked by officials. While the insects of Pawon Gardens were rather peaceful and only cared for working hard for the community, the rats of Mixxrok Zas were killing each other just to survive. Now since the Empire collapsed, it even got worse. Some regions changed their way of life almost completely, while others remained rather unaffected.

* Past Events

Years before -10,000 AC: The almighty God Emperor comes down from the heavens to found his Empire. He presented himself as herald of the gods. The people followed obedient. He was never questioned. Years before -1,000 AC: A divine miracle has lead to the creation of Polingo Desert. It is a natural protective barrier between the southern part of the Empire and the Black Forest that lies beyond its borders. -18 AC: The Arachnida managed to launch a massive attack at the city of Fuchong, destroying most of it and killing many. The rest were either lucky or fled. -12 AC: The riots with the human rebels of Agoris have come to an end. The so called Royal Kingdom negotiated a non-aggression pact with a representant of the Empire. -1 AC: After a violation of the ridiculous non-aggression pact occured, the Royal Kingdom or human rebels declared 'war' on the Empire. Most parts of the Empire were unaffected and the Emperor focussed on more important problems. Horgsholt and Pawon Gardens were lost to the Royal Kingdom. The impact was minimal. The people could defend themselves on the long run and the Imperial troops only interfered on certain opportunities.

0 AC: All of a sudden the Imperial troops abandoned Fuchong, leaving it defenseless. The locals evacuate, fearing devestating attacks of the Arachnida. The Empire launches a massive counterstrike against the Royal Kingdom with the made available forces. The Royal Navy gets crushed and the occupied provinces return unter Imperial order. The Crisis occured. The Emperor accompanied his Imperial Armada personally at this time. Days after the storms hit, he returned to Nalkommur and declare state of calamity. The city got prepared for the worst. Just a few days after the Emperors return a giant seamonster attacked Nalkommur. The magic dome was supplied with all the energy that was available, but the force was too much and it collapsed. The upper and lower town got destroyed. The almighty Emperor died. Only the outskirts were left untouched by the monster, which returned into the sea afterwards. The secret island of Namju sunk into the ocean. The inhabitants fled to the mainland of Nipone. The Polingo Desert got submerged in the floods and rain and was no more. In its place is now ocean. Fuchong was already overrun by Arachnida, which nested in the jungle. The locals were not able to prevent that. The surroundings, lying on a peninsula, was now an island, after the flooding of Polingo Desert. After the crisis ended, rebuilding begun. The Empire was without a leader and the people were left alone. Single provinces rebuild themselves, mostly through neighbourly help or certain communities that could work together. The people refrained from supporting other provinces though.

1 AC: Since the infrastructure was effectively not existent, the consuls or whoever was in charge of a province or region started fights for supremacy or just pure existence due to the lack of resources. Kyuseishu is founded and still growing, a new home for former inhabitants of Namju and Fuchong. The people had to accept a new lifestyle to stay safe, as their region belonged to another province. Luckily they avoided conflicts. Baz Agud, citadel of orcs, was in conflict with a neighboring province. The consul, the warchief of all clans, fell in battle. The clans left their city as it was no longer needed, as well as a new warchief as consul was no longer needed. The orcs remained in their clans, selling the slaves they hunt to other provinces.

2 AC: The deserted city of Baz Agud is overtaken by a mercenary band. It is now a safe place of shelter for people who will work hard.

4 AC: A few provinces along the coast, who act more open to outsiders, started trading with the Free Merchant Union.

5 AC: Baz Agud has been brought back to orcish rulership under warboss Cornok Doombringer. Using Baz Agud as base, the Doombringer clan continued their brutal campaign to conquer most souther regions of the former Empire.

8 AC: The Doombringer Clan still is on the way to conquer the former Empire with brutal force. At the same time does the ratfolk conquers the nothern regions of the former Empire. Soon they will meet each other for the next war.


=== Union ===
Place: Slufura, Agoris
Dominating Race: Goblins
View on Magic: Since the most members of the Union are the goblins, they see nothing positive nor negative in magic. The most important that it makes loud noises and brings money.
View on Technology: Technology gets writen big in the Union. Nothing goes without it. The Union grew big through being able to buy airships and other usefull technologies.

* General information & Politics

The Free Merchant Union is not a nation, even if many treat it like one. It is merely a neutral organisation of merchants, which possesses the big island of Slufura. The misunderstanding is often a part of the lack of knowledge about the goblin culture. The goblins who founded the Union might have been around way longer than the Union itself. The Union started off as economic community in their 'Capital' Parawall, by now it supports several branches ranging from trade of literally everything over public entertainment to innovative technology. What counts is the profit, nothing else. Since goblins are not gifted with magic, it is not widespread here. But they crave for artifacts and their possibilities, even if they have no idea of what it does. Of course technology is their form of progress and it is very popular. One might say the Union is technologically the most advanced Faction.
Usually the Union accepts everyone within their ranks, as long as they pay the entrance fees. Still the Union consists almost entirely out of goblins. Without the will to earn money, no one will come far and there would be no point in joining at the first place. Each member is still responsible for themselves and has to pay for each service someone else provides. There are no charitable services, no public areas or resources. Everything is private property and thus life in the Union is expensive.
The Union has no leader and no real representants. The only people who might be qualified for that are their ambassadors. But those speak for themselves and the financial institution of the Union. Sometimes they arrange treaties with other nations, such as the trading licenses of the former Royal Kingdom. The Union also has no military. All of their forces are just private mercenaries equipped with products of other goblin businesses.

* Culture

For the Union it is only the money that counts. But goblins are known for their chaotic behaviour, so of course there are exceptions. Many pursue careers, then it is often technology or explosions that count. Of course only those who are successful will come far. Those who fall by the wayside, accept their failure, just try something else and take one of the low paid job (greatly lowering the life expectancy). Everyone who can adapt to their lifestyle is welcome. The goblins have next to no racism. When a stranger comes to them, it only counts if they have money and do their job. Everything else is just details for them.
Goblins are short-living creatures. If they manage to not kill themselves until the age of 50, they are either lucky or insane in the eyes of a goblin. They seize the day and use the short time they have. They might be extremely smart but also extremely chaotic. Their technology is rarely safe and often already in use. Accidents happen everyday. Many goblins die young or lose limbs. But rarely do they grief after a loss. Life is too short to grief and when one dies, the others just learn out of it. To compensate that, it is usual for them to have a multitude of children. Most families have about 20 children or more.
Goblins basically do not care for the nature or most animals. They claim land or buy it. Everything in that land gets claimed as well and turned into profit. It is no wonder the entire island of Slufura almost entirely consists of canola fields, for their machines, and urban or industrial area.
To feed their population, they gather most of their food through trade. Throughout the years, they have started breeding rats in the cities. Out of the butchering of their rat cattle developed a rich sausage culture.

* Past Events

Years before -200 AC: The initial economic community was founded. Before the goblins were only neutral traders without a flag. The Union established trading contracts with the Royal Kingdom. Their relations grew with their main trading route between Snozwallow, eastern harbor of Slufura, and Naporia, western harbor of the Royal Kingdom on Agoris. Naporia grew significantly thanks to the trade. The influence of the Union in this city grew with the city itself. The Union also established trade routes with almost all major neutral harbors in the area.

-52 AC: The nature of Slufura is depleted. The island completely consists out of urban or industrial territory or canola fields by now. There is next to no wildlife left on Slufura. Only some rodents were able to survive, the jackalope being the most popular one.

-3 AC: The drone network of the Union got established. It is used for mail and delivery services.

-2 AC: The radio network of the Union got established. It is used for widespread communication and allowed the use of drones in a greater range.

0 AC: The crisis occured. The first thing the Union witnessed was their drone and radio network going blank. Naporia got destroyed by a giant wave. Many members of the Union live there and died through it. A week later the walls of Parawall got destroyed by an earthquake. The inner city was invaded by seamonsters and got flooded. The inner walls held the water, like basins. Many died that day. The surviving people fled over Snozwallow to Naporia and beyond. Their goal was the inner land of Agoris, away from the coast. After the crisis Parawall was left to rot. Most refugees just stayed where they were, which lead to the growth of Snozwallow and a fast rebuilding of Naporia.

1 AC: The goblins that have reached the inland of Agoris founded a new city, Bolford, near Naporia. The Republic of Taergoria was displeased by founding Bolford in their territory. The Republic tried to negotiate with some of the inhabitants. But these individuals did not care too much, as they have bought the land off of the local landlord.

2 AC: The Union has invented the first machines that are able to fly over short distances and can transport many people or heavy loads. They are called airships and they do not explode. At least not very often.

4 AC: The Union has established trade routes with single provinces of the former Empire.

6 AC: The Prodigy Association has been founded and controls most of the Union.


=== Neutrals ===
* General information & Politics
The neutral can be best described as city states. Obviously their political system varies from place to place. Most are inhabited by outlaws who fight for themselves and enjoy their independence. One place often acts as community to keep their life intact. It can be inhabited by all kinds of races. But it is usually just one or two per place. Magic and technology can be popular in some places, but both aspects are usually poor developed in contrast with greater nations. Many of these neutral places are trading with the Free Merchant Union as the Union is neutral as well. Through this they get a constant supply of all kinds of wares and could sell their local resources and products. Those who do not trade with the Union are often very isolated and have never seen any places or people from somewhere else.

* Culture

Of course each place has a completely different culture. But being so small is often a major influence on one place. Many got used to some outsiders through the Union others did not. Many just value their freedom, neutrality and independence. Life is much easier that way and conflicts can be avoided. The three most notable neutral harbors are Portuga, Flokadalsa and Kharndoral:

Portuga is an anarchic harbor full of scoundrel and pirates. It lies on an island south of Agoris. The Republic of Taergoria has given up on establishing order here, at least for now. Portuga is still a major annoyance for the Republic. Others can deal with them quite fine.

Flokadalsa is a northern harbor. It lies on an island in the middle of the iceberg alley. It links the northern sea to the rest of the world. With the help of the Union the locals are now able to defend themselves with their own kind of technology. Unfortunately the island got destroyed during the crisis.

Kharndoral is a rare sight. A dwarven harbor on the northern coast of the southern continent of Ebor. The dwarven usually stay away from the sea, but have good relations with the Union as they buy off their mineral resources and products.

* Past Events

Flokadalsa was once a part of the Empire. Now it has gained independence through a litte revolution.

-1 AC: The small island Port Navi gets conquered by the Royal Kingdom. It lies near Portuga.

0 AC: The crisis occured. Many neutrals lie on islands and were affected. Only few could flee and survive. Most seeked out the mainland of the three continents Agoris, Nipone and Ebor. Flokadalsa got destroyed by an earthquake. The inhabitants flew deeper into the north. Kharndoral was about to get destroyed by a giant seamonster, but the divine miracle saved it in the last second. The monster got banished and the storms disappeared as fast as they came. After the crisis most places rebuild themselves independently and ended up living just as they did before.
